•Ben's Guide to U.S. Government for Kids: Organized into four levels for grades K-12, this site offers great info and graphics on U.S. Government topics.  Primary students topics include such things as their neighborhood & U.S. symbols.  Printable activity pages are available. Can sometimes be slow to load, but worth the wait!!

•Black History Month:
Site containing activities for teachers to use with students during Black History Month. Click on the Free Resources link, then Black History. Underground Railroad:  This unit introduces students to the Underground Railroad. They'll learn about the dangers that escaping slaves faced and the things they used (e.g. songs and quilts) to help them find their way.  Don’t miss “The Journey”  a virtual underground railroad, which gives students the opportunity to take on the role of a slave and make decisions as they venture into the Underground Railroad.
