National Art Honor Society:

 

Mission Statement

This chapter will insure and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art, foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art, and further creative abilities and talents of the Society’s members as well as the school’s entire art enrollment. The organization

will also aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in the art area and bring art awareness to the school and community furthering aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school’s total program with participation of scholarship, service and character.

Who we are?  

We are a club that revolves around art activities and community service that will help foster growth in ourselves and humanity.

 

 

What we do? 

Students participate in peer taught workshops, after school art sessions, watch educational art centered videos, participate in beach clean-ups and food drives along with other community service projects. Our offshoot Green Squad works with the school and community in recycling and environmental work.

 

What are the benefits of membership in National Art Honor Society?

Socialization among other art loving students, helping others in our community, working towards an honors cord at graduation, an excellent reference for student resume, and exposure to many art techniques, skills, and activities.

 

 
Who is eligible? 

Students who have completed at least one term of Art I and have received and maintained a grade of 80 or above in their art classes.
