Alief ISD offers DIRECT DEPOSIT to all eligible employees. The major benefit is the guarantee that paychecks will be deposited on every payday, even when you are ill or on vacation. Your paycheck will be credited to your account by 10:00 a.m. on payday. This method of deposit is safer, quicker, and more confidential. It is especially beneficial for those employees who are not working during the summer but are still receiving a paycheck.

To sign up for Direct Deposit, you must fill out a green/yellow direct deposit card. You can get these in our office, or from your school/department secretary. Complete and return it along with a voided check or deposit slip to the Risk Management Department. The check or deposit slip must have your name printed on it by the bank - we do not accept temporary checks.  If you do not have a check or deposit slip with your name on it, ask the bank for a memo on Bank letterhead with your name, account number, routing number, and the signature of a bank representative.  New or changed accounts will require approximately thirty days advanced notice to verify changes in the system. While on direct deposit, you will receive a pay stub showing deductions, vacation/sick days, gross pay, and net pay deposited.

Anyone wishing to discontinue Direct Deposit can do so at any time by giving written notice to the Risk Management Department.

Alief also offers SAVINGS BONDS. These are done through a payroll deduction. Savings Bonds are purchased at 50% of their value (i.e., a $100.00 savings bond would cost you $50.00 - $25.00 per pay period). You can get this information and enrollment card from the Risk Management Department.

If you have any questions regarding Direct Deposit or Savings Bonds, please call Michelle Mirshak at 281-988-3001.
